Autoresponders are excellent promotional tools, essential for
Internet business. Some call them by the technical term; while
others say automatic eMailer, eMail responder, autobot or
mailbot. Whatever you call them the important thing is that
they automatically respond to incoming messages, hence the
name, and they do so without human intervention.

Autoresponders are great time-savers and you can use them for
a variety of tasks. They never take a break, work 24/7 all
year for no extra pay and hardly ever check in sick (providing
you use reliable suppliers). Autoresponders never query the
task you set them and they follow your instructions to the
letter. You will notice the plural being used, so you can see
that more than one autoresponder is usually required.

With the Internet constantly growing, and new users coming
online daily, you have a truly international marketplace at
your disposal. Competition is fierce, especially in certain
markets. Many thousands of companies are already competing for
business so you must do whatever it takes to give you an edge.
The last thing you want is to gain that edge, attract hundreds
of visitors daily, and then fail to capitalize on the
advantage you worked hard to gain.

All the companies and experienced marketers know that getting
visitors is only the first step in business. What comes next
is conversion or turning those visitors into customers. They
know they won’t convert all their visitors to customers, and
they also know, or soon learn, that few visitors buy anything
on their first visit. It’s commonly stated that it takes an
average of 5 to 7 visits before a visitor will make a
purchase. The key to your success on the Internet lies in
bringing those visitors back for further visits until they
buy.

And that’s where autoresponders fit in. Successful businesses
know they must bring potential customers back, and the best
way to bring them back, achieving a good conversion rate at
the same time, is by using autoresponders. You do this by
offering your visitors something as an incentive to return.
The offer can be for additional information in keeping with
site content maybe a free eBook or a free report.

If your website has lots of really useful content, and/or you
produce a regular newsletter, your offer can be for free
notifications of website updates or a free subscription.
Anything of quality will do as long as it’s on the same
subject they came looking for, or closely related to it. Set
up an autoresponder and it will generate a code for you to put
a form on your website. Place the form beside or beneath the
offer and interested visitors can fill in their name and eMail
address.

You will need to write a generic response to the subscriber’s
request and load it into your autoresponder. As soon as
someone fills in your form and hits the ‘Submit’ button their
message goes to your autoresponder and your message goes back
to them right away. This will show you’re serious about
serving the customer and give them the feeling of personal
service. Personal service on a scale a single person would be
unable to provide to thousands of customers, clients and
enquirers.

Customer service is a major key to business success and
autoresponders provide that service better than humans. They
do exactly what you tell them and what the client asks. You
can purchase or license scripts to install and run from your
website, programmed to run on servers, or pay for the services
of one of the many autoresponder providers.

Your main objective is to make sales but your first priority
should be to provide useful information and to capture as many
names and eMail addresses as possible. Put faithful
autoresponders to work for you, establishing a sense of trust
in your visitors, and the sales will follow. Your
autoresponders will help keep your customers and leads happy
and up to date on your business, feeling special because
you’re sharing and taking care of them.

Autoresponders, used correctly, can be the pulse of your
business. It’s a good idea to ask someone you trust to
recommend a good supplier rather than choosing a supplier at
random from the search engines.

Internet marketing is a complicated business. There is so much to learn.
Building websites, learning search engine optimization, emails, autoresponders and that is just some of it. Then you have to find your niche, research your market, dream up your product and on and on it goes. Then just as you think you have figured out your blueprint along comes another indispensable tool or system. So you make a few adjustments and read another 150 pages of instructions and watch another 20 hours of high powered video. Phew! You take a deep breath and rewrite your blueprint. You turn on the computer and check your emails.

There are 65 emails all heralding the latest and greatest in internet marketing. Spy on your opposition, buy these private label rights and do not forget to listen in to the latest over hyped teleconference with two or three self proclaimed gurus thinly disguising mutual backslapping for selling some over priced “how to” book which is probably just another rehash of what you learned two or three months ago.

Have you ever wondered if this is a cleverly orchestrated plan by the successful operators to confuse the would be marketers out there. Maybe not but it does sow the seeds of utter confusion into the minds of the unfocused.

The fact is your email inbox is a major distraction to actually getting on and
achieving success in internet marketing. The answer here is to limit severely the amount of email you read. Go through the list of emails you receive and
unsubscribe from most of them. Be thoroughly ruthless and just retain one or two of your very best newsletters. It is probably going to be painful because you enjoy receiving them and will spend hours reading them and the things they promote. But that is the point, they have actually distracted you and robbed hours of your time.

Now it is time to focus and select that aspect of internet marketing that you
enjoy. Go for one thing and get it going properly and then expand into the next thing in a natural progression that will best compliment your first interest. Follow your prepared blueprint and focus on that. Do not be totally deaf to what is going on in the internet marketing world but limit the destructively distracting nature of so much of it.

So concentrate and focus on achieving your goals and making some money. Join a good mentoring program if you really need to but stop hopping from one thing to the other. Be single minded and maintain that focus. When you have achieved your initial goals and have things running on some sort of auto pilot then you can look around for ways to improve and fine tune your business.

If you are an aspiring affiliate marketer, it can be intimidating to select from the thousands of affiliate marketing opportunities you can find online. Name a niche, and you are more than likely to find at least a dozen different products from a dozen different merchants. How do you know which ones you should be promoting? While there’s no right or wrong answer to this question, there are a few things that you need to consider when deciding which affiliate marketing opportunities are going to be right for you.

What Niche Do You Know The Most About?

Many successful affiliates find that starting out with a topic they know well is a great launching point for their business. If you pick a niche that you are already familiar with, you can be a better judge about which products have the highest value for your potential audience. Your familiarity with the niche will help you weed out products that just don’t “feel right” (and probably wouldn’t sell well to customers also familiar with the niche). Since you have some insight into that topic, you will find it easier to present the benefits of products in a compelling way that will drive more sales.

Which Products Do You Want To Write About?

One way to effectively promote the many affiliate marketing opportunities in your niche is to build a “content site,” a website or blog where you write articles about topics those in your niche are interested in. These articles will help you pull in relevant search engine traffic and help position you as a trusted source of information. The articles can then be used as gateways to introduce the products that you are interested in promoting. Writing good content can take a little bit of work, but it’s a lot easier when you start with a niche you’re already familiar with.

Which Products Have The Most Attractive Payout?

Not all affiliate marketing opportunities are created equal – but it takes about an equal amount of work to do promoting for any one of them. It can be a wise move on your part to focus on products that have a higher payout for you, so you are not breaking your back just to make ends meet. Of course, you may not want to concentrate all your efforts on high end products, as there is a smaller market for them due to the higher price tag. As you look through all of the affiliate marketing opportunities in your niche, consider promoting a high-payout items along with a few smaller priced products so that you can have something for everybody.

So, if you are a beginner in this wide world of affiliate marketing, use these three questions to guide you as you determine which affiliate marketing opportunities are going to be the right fit for you. Start with what you know, draw prospects in with solid information, and lead them to quality products that will put more money into your pocket.
